I'd like to heartily recommend Carolyn Kenton at Kenridge Farms and her wonderful gaited horses to anyone looking to enjoy an "at liberty" trailride. I have recent riding experience in the Hunter/Jumper discipline but no horse, and a desire to recapture some of the enjoyment I recall as a girl, trailriding and exploring in the beautiful countryside. I met with Ms Kenton for an assessment and met "Jen", a lovely registered TWH mare. I rode under supervision for about an hour and after everyone was satisfied the match was good we set a date.

The day of my trailride dawned with lovely Spring weather; we loaded up the horses and set out for our trailride in the Central KY countryside. We gaited across meadows, up and down hillsides, through the woods and streams - so comfortable! Our horses were sure-footed, well-mannered, happy in company, not in the least spooky and amazingly fast at the running walk. A hearty meal was provided - definitely an experience I will repeat in the future, and one I would recommend to any horseperson wanting a quality riding experience. And I would definitely recommend the TWH as a superior trail riding companion.
